Summary: In a globalized scenario, the speed of information and the growing presence of technology transform social and administrative dynamics. The Brazilian Judiciary, seeking celerity and resource optimization, has incorporated technological advancements. However, challenges persist, especially in internal routines such as process self-inspection, which is fundamental for the quality of jurisdictional provision. Self-inspection, which consists of periodic data collection to sanitize judicial units, is still frequently performed manually and, at times, inefficiently. In the Single Court of the Batalha Judicial District, for example, the annual self-inspection consumes 20 days and mobilizes 13 of its 15 civil servants, resulting in the paralysis of procedural deadlines and an 86.6% reduction in jurisdictional provision to the population, causing significant damage to the unit's efficiency and the celerity of processes. Given this problematic scenario, this study aims to demonstrate the crucial importance of applying a computerized system for self-inspection of ongoing processes in the single court of the Batalha Judicial District. Such an initiative is fundamental for guaranteeing the constitutional principles of efficiency and economicity in judicial public administration. These principles demand the optimization of material and human resources, the reduction of expenses, and the celerity in service delivery, ensuring the best possible performance and the rational use of available means for the public interest. The analysis of bibliographic surveys, combined with an interview conducted with the Head of the Judicial Secretariat of the Batalha Judicial District, led to the unequivocal conclusion that there is a concrete possibility of substantial improvement in the self-inspection procedure in the single court. This can be achieved through the use of dedicated applications and digital systems, making self-inspection faster, more precise, and less burdensome, in full accordance with the principles of efficiency and economicity. Most notably, the study proposes and defends the full feasibility of using artificial intelligence (AI) in this process. AI would be capable of analyzing the progress of each procedural situation, making concise summaries, and generating alerts for magistrates and civil servants about processes requiring immediate attention. This approach would significantly optimize self-inspection, reducing manual workload and minimizing the interruption of the court's normal activities. Similar initiatives, such as the use of AIs Athos and Hercules in the Court of Justice of Alagoas (TJAL), already demonstrate the effectiveness and security of such technologies in the judicial environment. It is concluded, therefore, that the adoption of a robust computerized system, incorporating artificial intelligence, is an essential step for the modernization and continuous improvement of procedural management in the Batalha Judicial District, serving as a replicable model for other judicial units in the country.
