O Modelo de Inovação da Hélice Quíntupla

O aquecimento global como desafio e motor da inovação

Resumo

O modelo de inovação da Hélice Tríplice se concentra nas relações universidade-indústria- governo. A Hélice Quádrupla incorpora a Hélice Tríplice, acrescentando como quarta hélice o "público baseado na mídia e na cultura" e a "sociedade civil". O modelo de inovação da Hélice Quíntupla é ainda mais amplo e abrangente ao contextualizar a Hélice Quádrupla e ao adicionar a hélice (e perspectiva) dos 'ambientes naturais da sociedade'. A Hélice Tríplice reconhece explicitamente a importância do ensino superior para a inovação. Entretanto, em uma linha de interpretação poderia ser argumentado que a Hélice Tríplice coloca a ênfase na produção de conhecimento e inovação na economia, de modo que seja compatível com a economia do conhecimento. A Hélice Quádrupla já incentiva a perspectiva da sociedade do conhecimento, e da democracia do conhecimento para a produção de conhecimento e inovação. No entendimento da Hélice Quádrupla, o desenvolvimento sustentável de uma economia do conhecimento requer uma coevolução com a sociedade do conhecimento. A Hélice Quíntupla enfatiza a transição socioecológica necessária da sociedade e da economia no século XXI; portanto, a Hélice Quíntupla é ecologicamente sensível. Dentro da estrutura do modelo de inovação da Hélice Quíntupla, os ambientes naturais da sociedade e da economia também devem ser vistos como motores para a produção de conhecimento e inovação, definindo, portanto, oportunidades para a economia do conhecimento. A Comissão Europeia, em 2009, identificou a transição socioecológica como um grande desafio para o futuro roteiro de desenvolvimento. A Hélice Quíntupla apoia aqui a formação de uma situação do tipo ganha- ganha para todos entre ecologia, conhecimento e inovação, criando sinergias entre economia, sociedade e democracia. O aquecimento global representa uma área de preocupação ecológica, à qual o modelo de inovação da Hélice Quíntupla pode ser aplicado com maior potencial.
